Musawa Strategic Plan 2010-2012

As Musawa is ready to make a leap in its role, the Board of Directors and partners/stakeholders realized the necessity to organize a strategic planning workshop to design a five year strategic plan for the center. The planning sessions took place in Jericho over three days during the period from May 30 to June 1, 2006. The following parties participated in the process:
• Musawa’s Board of Directors and staff
• Donor representatives (Netherlands, USAID, Sweden, Switzerland, Austria and Denmark)
• Implementing agencies and programs (Arkan project, Nitham project)
• Independent lawyers and judges.
• Palestinian Bar Association
• Legal and human rights activists

During a three-interactive-day-workshop imprinted with heated discussions, the participants analyzed the environment and went through the SWOT analysis to revisit the vision, mission and strategic goals of Musawa in the next five years.

At Musawa, strategic planning is a continuous process for guiding the
organization’s leadership and services, and acquisition and expenditure of resources, through the collaborative development of shared mission, values, organization goals, and program objectives.
