Law Projects
From the point of inception, Musawa has placed emphasis on developing Palestinian legislation; this is through discussing proposed law projects as well as building the capacities of lawyers and legal professionals in the law as well as new Palestinian legislation. Musawa’s work in law projects is not solely restricted to proposing law projects but also works to create lobby and advocacy groups within civil society in order to put pressure on the PLC and other political decision makers so that they may adopt Musawa’s ideas, which are based upon the opinions of local, regional, and international legal experts.

Among the more notable laws that Musawa has amended are: the Basic Law, Law of the Judicial Authority, Law of the origin of civil and commercial courts, law of establishing structured courts, law of the criminal procedures, law of constitutional courts, general elections law, and the national council law project. In addition, Musawa has proposed amendments to a number of presidential decrees, resolutions, ministerial regulations, and administrative decisions, the Palestinian Judiciary Institute, the internal structure of the PLC, the national security courts and prosecution, military, advisory, and private judiciary, and a code of ethics for lawyers and judges.
